Group of businessmen makes petition for Simone Tebet in Planalto

by

A petition in favor of the candidacy of Simone Tebet (MDB) to the Planalto is close to reaching 4,000 signatures this Wednesday (25). Among the signatories, the names of economists Arminio Fraga, Eliana Cardoso and Affonso Celso Pastore stand out —already cited by Sergio Moro as his main adviser for the presidential race.

Former presidents of BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) Andrea Calabi and Maria Silva Bastos Marque and Philippe Reichstul, former president of Petrobras, also sign the petition alongside entrepreneurs such as Wolff Klabin, chairman of the board of directors of Klabin.

“Brazilians need to hand over the command of the Executive Power, starting next year, to an energetic and pacifying leadership, endowed with credibility”, says the text published on the website Change.org.

Created less than a week ago by environmentalist Teresa Cristina Ralston Bracher, wife of the former president of Itaú Candido Botelho Bracher, the document states that Tebet is “an excellent alternative” to “unite the country around a true project of nation”.

In addition to signing, it is possible to share the petition on social media and contribute R$ 50 to the “petition to get more supporters”.

MDB’s pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, senator Simone Tebet became the name of the group of parties of the so-called third way. This Wednesday, she said that she has no doubts that the PSDB will support her, after João Doria (PSDB) gave up his candidacy.

“Whoever assumes the Presidency of the Republic on January 1, 2023 will face an enormous challenge: unite the country around a true nation projectguided by prosperity and social inclusion.

This means that Brazilians need to hand over the command of the Executive Power, starting next year, to an energetic and pacifying leadership, endowed with credibilitywith experience in public management and in Parliament, attentive and sensitive to the demands of the population, especially the most vulnerable, and to the defense of the environment.

It is especially important to provide Brazilians with alternatives that meet these requirements.

Alternatives are essential because they force debate, comparison of proposals, analysis of life trajectories.

In this context, the emergence of an excellent alternative for the consideration of Brazilians is very positive: a woman, Senator Simone Tebet.

In addition to displaying all the attributes listed above, it stands out for its civic spirit and its capacity for conciliation.

She has, without a doubt, what unites us all: an unconditional love for Brazil.”
