Lula’s emissaries who have been talking to the market say they believe that the PT campaign’s dialogue with the private sector should become more fluid in the coming weeks. In their assessment, some of the obstacles began to be overcome.
The noise surrounding the proposed repeal of the labor reform is already seen internally as water under the bridge. This Sunday, the president of the PT, Gleisi Hoffmann, published on a social network that “this stir in relation to labor reform is smoke”.
After the controversy that the party left in the air for more than a month and even entered the document with the guidelines for Lula’s government program, the PT president wrote this Sunday (12) that “revoking or revising are equivalent verbs”. and that “in order to review legislation, in the end, it has to repeal provisions to the contrary”.
Still in her words, the verb is what matters least. “We need to fix what went wrong with the so-called labor reform and have legislation that takes care of the new world of work, guaranteeing workers rights and the initiative of entrepreneurs to generate employment”, she wrote.
Another issue that generated apprehension in the business community, the idea that the independence of the Central Bank could be threatened is also considered as a point of undone tension.
The next step, they believe, should be the discussion around the rule for the fiscal issue.
