by

The INSS (National Institute of Social Security) agencies will be closed this Thursday (16), a Corpus Christi holiday, and on Friday (17), due to an optional point defined by the Ministry of Economy. The decision was published in this Tuesday’s edition (14), in the Official Gazette of the Union.

On the holiday of the 16th, service by phone 135 will also not work. However, the user will be able to access some automatic services from the home menu. According to the INSS, those who have an appointment scheduled for the 17th should call 135 to reschedule the appointment.

The agencies return to work normally on Monday (20).

Policyholders can also use the application or the Meu INSS website at any time, a channel that brings together more than one hundred types of service in a single environment. Through the platform, it is possible to schedule medical examinations, issue extracts of contributions, consult the results of benefit requests and simulate the time left for retirement.

Among the services most sought after by policyholders are requesting payment and loan statements and consulting benefits.

Bank branches will open on Friday

Bank branches will be closed on Thursday (16), during the Corpus Christi holiday, but will return to normal service this Friday (17).According to Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks), branches will be closed on Thursday inclusive in municipalities where the date has been brought forward, as is the case of the city of São Paulo.

Last year, the capital of São Paulo anticipated five holidays, as a strategy to stop the escalation of Covid-19. Corpus Christi is not a national holiday, but an optional point in most parts of the country. There are cities that consider the date a municipal holiday.
