IBGE opens 913 vacancies for census agent; see how to compete

The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) has opened a selection process for the temporary hiring of 913 census agents to work in the 2022 Demographic Census. Registration starts this Thursday (16) and ends on Sunday (19).

According to the notice, there are 285 vacancies for ACM (Municipal Census Agent) and 628 vacancies for ACS (Census Supervisor Supervisor) distributed in 679 municipalities, in ten states.

To compete, interested parties must fill out the virtual form on the IBGE platform. There is no charge, but to participate in the selection you must have completed high school.

Salaries will be R$2,100 for the position of ACM (Municipal Census Agent) and R$1,700 for the ACS (Supervisor Census Agent). Those selected will also receive food allowance and transportation allowance.

The ACM manages the work of the collection post, while the ACS, subordinate to the ACM, has as its main function to guide the census takers during the execution of the field work.

VACANCIES BY STATE

Minas Gerais is the state with the highest number of vacancies, with 175 opportunities in 141 municipalities. In the comparison between regions, the South concentrates the largest number: in Santa Catarina, there are 162 vacancies in 108 municipalities, in Rio Grande do Sul there are 142 for 127 municipalities, and in Paraná, the total is 133 vacancies in 127 municipalities.

The duration of the contract is up to five months, with the possibility of extension. The working day will be 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Among the total of 913 vacancies offered in the process, 85 are for Black or Brown People (PPP) and 15 for People with Disabilities (PwD).

To compete, the candidate must fill out the online application form on the IBGE website. The presentation of the original documentation or certified copy (identity and academic degree) must be made only at the time of hiring. The analysis of titles will be classified.

Altogether, the IBGE should hire 206,891 temporary workers to work in the Census. Of these vacancies, 183,021 are for census takers, who will undergo training between the 18th and 22nd of July. More than 130 thousand vacancies for this function were filled in the selection carried out in April.

On Wednesday (15), the registration period for the selection of 48,500 temporary census takers ended. The release of the final result is scheduled for June 30th.
