The Independent Public Revenue Authority had sent letters to the nearly 75,000 “forgetful” vehicle owners, who, while their vehicles had been pre-filled in that year’s tax return, had not paid the fees or followed the procedure for canceling the vehicle. case, which for any reason was not then in their possession or was immobile.
With the letter, they were given the opportunity, until November 22, to state to myCAR the reason why there may be no obligation to pay traffic fees for 2016, attaching the relevant supporting documents.
Of the 75,000, only 1,258 did so.
Now, the submission of a declaration of non-debt of traffic fees and the submission of the relevant supporting documents, for the rest, so that they do not pay double the fees, is possible only through a request or mail to the Tax Office.
In fact, to facilitate them, AADE has created a special procedure for digital submission of supporting documents on the platform “My Requests” on the digital portal myAADE (myaade.gov.gr). In particular, entering the platform “My Requests” with the taxisnet codes, they choose in order: 1. their Tax Office, 2. the thematic group “Cars” and 3. the process “Submission of supporting documents of non-debt traffic fees 2016-2021” .
In the coming days, the above debtors are expected to receive a new mail from AADE that will inform them about the above procedure.
Caution ! The overdue deposit at the Tax Office does not guarantee that the double fees will not be confirmed. If the supporting documents show a lack of obligation to pay traffic fees, the certified amounts are deleted.
