Panel SA: Businessmen say Faria Lima starts to settle for Lula’s victory

by

Faced with the scenario shown by the new Datafolha survey, with the polarization consolidated between Lula and Bolsonaro and the hope of an even more distant third way, businessmen and top executives of large companies are beginning to say that Faria Lima is resigning itself to the possibility of victory for the PT.

Still annoyed with the stability of the research, the director of a multinational wrinkles his nose, noting that the feeling is of insecurity with both.

In the opinion of another top executive, the reason for the current mood is the recent signals sent by Lula, which sweetened his government’s program for the business community, especially the retreat in the proposal to repeal the labor reform. Bolsonaro, on the other hand, sent unpleasant messages to this audience with his attacks on Petrobras.

According to this week’s Datafolha, the PT went from 20% to 27% among businessmen in the spontaneous survey in relation to the May survey. Bolsonaro, in turn, appears numerically with seven points less among businessmen, although he still leads this group with some slack — he had 49%, and now he has 42% in the spontaneous poll.
