Fuel Pass 2: Amendment is being voted on today – What it contains

The total amount of the financial facility ranges from 40 to 100 euros depending on the vehicle and the place of residence of the beneficiary

Today, the plenary session of the Parliament votes on the new state aid to the citizens, which aims to cover the cost of fuel consumption in July, August and September 2022.

Also known as Fuel Pass 2 was submitted in the form of an amendment to the bill, entitled “Regulations for dealing with the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 and the protection of public health”, which is put today in the plenary of the Parliament, for discussion and voting.

With the provisions of this amendment:

1. Financial facility is provided from the State Budget to every natural person who is a tax resident of Greece with a declared family income of tax year 2021 up to thirty thousand (30,000) euros, increased by three thousand (3,000) euros for the spouse or member cohabitation and in addition by three thousand (3,000) euros for each dependent child of the household and up to the amount of forty five thousand (45,000) euros for the purpose of helping to cover the cost of fuel consumption in July, August and September 2022.

2. The financial assistance amounts to the following total amounts:

a) one hundred (100) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Peripheral Unit of the Islands of the Region of Thessaly, in the Regional Unit of Thassos of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, in the island of Samothrace of the Regional Unit of Evros of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and in the island of Ammouliani of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki of the Region of Central Macedonia. The above amount is eighty five (85) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.

b) eighty (80) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece. The above amount is set at sixty five (65) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.

c) seventy (70) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Peripheral Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, Attica Region, Attica Region , in the Regional Unit of Thassos of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, in the island of Samothrace of the Regional Unit of Evros of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and in the island of Ammouliani of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki of the Region of Central Macedonia. The above amount is set at fifty five (55) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.

5) sixty (60) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece. The above amount is set at forty five (45) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit in a bank account.
