Extended until 31 December the ceiling which has been introduced for the gross profit margin throughout the supply chain with an amendment submitted to Parliament. The amendment was tabled in the bill of the Ministry of Health to deal with the pandemic and to protect public health.
In particular, the ceiling for the sale of any product, the provision of any service necessary for the health, nutrition, living, movement and safety of the consumer, as well as the sale of agricultural products and food, especially raw materials for the production of fertilizers, fertilizers, feed, raw cereals of all kinds, flour, sunflower and vegetable oils, is what the companies had in September 1, 2021.

Reduction of the phenomenon of unfair profitability during periods of crisis Amendment of article 58 of law 4818/2021
The par. Of article 58 of law 4818/2021 (A ‘124) is amended in terms of time of validity and par. 1 is formed as follows:
«1. For a period from the publication of this until 3In.I2.2O22, it is prohibited to make a gross profit from the sale of any product, the provision of any service necessary for health, nutrition, living, movement and safety of the consumer, as well as from the sale of agricultural products and food , in particular raw materials for the production of fertilizers, fertilizers, feedingstuffs, raw cereals of all kinds, flour, sunflower and cooling oils, when the gross profit margin per unit exceeds the corresponding gross profit margin per unit before 1.9.2021. “.
