26 supreme and senior judges and prosecutors are leaving the Judiciary

Today is the last day of the current judicial year and they are leaving due to the completion of the maximum constitutional age limit, which is 67 years, a total of 26 judges and prosecutors from the Supreme Court and the Council of State.

On the contrary, no judge leaves the Court of Auditors.

In particular, the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, 5 deputy prosecutors, 5 vice-presidents and 11 areopagites are leaving the Supreme Court. Among those leaving is the Areopagite investigator of the Special Court in the Novartis case, Konstantina Alevizopoulou.

At the same time, its President, who is a full member of the Judicial Council of the Special Court on the responsibility of ministers in the Novartis case, leaves the Council of State, 2 vice-presidents and a State Councilor.

Analytically, he leaves the Supreme Court after a three-year term as prosecutor Vassilis Pliotas.

The deputy prosecutors of the Supreme Court are leaving together with Mr. Pliotas Evangelos Zacharis (in 2020 he investigated the alleged interventions in the judicial investigation of the Novartis case), Anastasia Dimitriadou, Zacharias Kokkinakis, Charalambos Moisidis and Panagiotis Athanassiou.

The vice-presidents are also leaving the Supreme Court Maria Nikolakea, Kostoula Flouri-Halevidou, Miltiadis Chatzigeorgiou, Grigorios Koutsokostas and Loukas Morfis.

Also, the Areopagites leave the Supreme Court Κωσσταβτίβα Μαυρικοπούλου, Theodoros Mavtouvalos, Pelagia Akasoglou, Kostavita Alevizopoulos, Avastasia Mouzaki, Avva Fotopoulos-Iovavou, Panagiotis Athanasopoulos, Maria Avdrikopoulos, Efstathios Nikas, Sofia Polyzou-Theocharidis and Anna Angelatou-Vassiliou.

At the same time, its President leaves the Council of State, Dimitris Skaltsounisthe vice-presidents Maria Karamanov and Ekaterini Christoforidouas well as the State Counselor Love Galenianou-Chalkiadaki.
