Audio recorded during meetings at Caixa Econômica Federal show former president of state-owned Pedro Guimarães cursing employees and threatening to fire them if they did not follow his orders.
The recordings, which could be considered moral harassment, were revealed this Thursday (30) by the Metrópoles portal, the day after Guimarães left the presidency of Caixa.
He resigned this Wednesday (29), after being accused of sexual harassment by female employees, a case that is being investigated by the Federal Public Ministry (MPT).
The audios are short and, in some cases, do not present the context of the meeting. The Metrópoles website says it had contact with Caixa employees, but did not say how it had access to the content.
As reported to the portal, one of the episodes of fury occurred at the end of last year, when Guimarães disagreed with the decision of Caixa executives.
A resolution of the General Assembly, of August 2021, changed internal rules and restricted the president’s participation to a maximum of two executive boards of the company. Consequently, this affected Guimarães’ remuneration.
Do you know what the will is? Damn, I think whoever is rooting for Lula, fuck you. Go back to the Box to be raped by those thieves, and fuck you
“I want everyone’s CPF”
According to the portal, at the same meeting, Pedro Guimarães asked for the CPFs of all those present at the conference to be noted. He gives the mission to Celso Leonardo Derziê Barbos, vice president of Caixa.
In the event that the contents of the meeting were leaked, the subordinates would be punished with the loss of their positions. In the audio, he comments that he doesn’t give the task to his advisor Álvaro Pires (called Vreco) because he’s a “soft stick”.
Whoever is responsible will cease to be either vice president, or director, or national superintendent, or national manager. So, Celso, this one is for you. Because Vreco is a soft dick. I want it in detail. I want everyone’s CPF
In one of the recordings, he complains about decisions that had been made by bank employees without his consent and says that the company is “not a democracy”.
It’s not acceptable. And again: I didn’t give a shit about your opinion, because I’m in charge. So I’m not asking. This is not a democracy. It’s my decision.
“Because you only have to lose”
In another passage, Guimarães says, in a threatening tone, that subordinates will lose their jobs within the bank if they make decisions without consulting him.
You are crazy. Because you only have to lose. Dude, they’re crazy. You don’t have to call anyone. If I didn’t give ok, I didn’t give ok and that’s it. And not. Why would you take the risk of losing your function, man? For something I didn’t authorize
In the last audio released by the portal, Guimarães complains, again, of decisions taken by Caixa executives without their consent.
He emphasizes that, even if the matter has been evaluated and decided by one of the vice-presidents, the matter should be considered by his cabinet.
He quotes the presidency’s chief of staff, Rozana Alves Guimarães, and utters another curse word.
Rosana has to personally give the proposal. Screw this. Ah, but the vice president… Tells everyone to take the ass
