The intention of launches in the industry fell by 1.7% in June compared to the month of May, shows an index calculated by the Brazilian Association of Automation-GS1 Brazil.
According to the indicator, in comparison with June 2021, the drop is 8.2%. There was also a decrease in the 12-month period, when the retraction was accumulated at 10.9% in relation to the previous year.
For the association’s CEO, Virginia Vaamonde, the retreat is a sign of concern about the industrial sector’s confidence in the post-pandemic recovery. By region of the country, only the South and Northeast recorded positive changes regarding the intention, in June, of launches.
