It’s been a rough few months becoming a McDonald’s fan.
From the tragic dairy shortage last summer to the recent catastrophic loss of tomatoes on Teesside, the chain has experienced some minor supply chain issues.
At least it wasn’t as bad as KFC’s huge shortage in 2018, but there was concern that it could happen.
And now, signs of food shortages have appeared in several branches, such as the King’s Road in Chelsea, south London.
“Due to supply chain challenges, some menu items may be offered without some ingredients or may be temporarily unavailable,” says Sign.
“We apologize in advance to all affected customers and ask for your patience.
A McDonald’s spokesperson was contacted who said the chain was experiencing a general delivery problem.
McDonald’s said in a statement: “Like most retailers, supply chains are currently under pressure and may affect a small number of menus at a particular restaurant.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We are working hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible. “
A spokeswoman confirmed that the sign would appear in other branches, but added that the delivery problems did not affect certain menu items or certain parts of the UK.
So I hope I can get McDonald’s again this weekend…but it might be a gamble on whether everything is available.
