With the pressure of the skyrocketing in aviation fuel, the average price of air tickets in Brazil continues the upward trend this year.
The increase exceeds 20% between January and April, compared to the same period of the pre-pandemic, in 2019, according to new data that Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) released this Thursday (7).
The average value of the domestic air fare in the first four months of this year reached R$ 580.41.
According to Anac, in the first four months, approximately 6% of the tickets cost more than R$ 1,500. About 33% were for less than R$300 and another 58% cost up to R$500.
The agency states that aviation kerosene, which accounted for 36% in the airlines’ cost spreadsheet in the first months of the year, accumulated an increase of almost 97% on the same basis as in 2019.
