The federal government extended the deadline for updating the CadÚnico (Single Registry), a basic requirement for access to Auxílio Brasil, the BPC (Continued Provision Benefit) and the Social Electricity Tariff.
Families that are in the so-called “registration investigation” — which had inconsistencies identified after the data was crossed — have until August 12 to update the information. The deadline ended on June 10.
The deadline for families undergoing “registration review”, which would end this Friday (15th), was extended until October 14th. In this case, the call is valid for beneficiaries who have not reviewed the data for more than two years.
as showed the Sheet, Brazilians have been sleeping in the queue to make or update the registration. About 8 million families must ensure that information is updated in 2022 to avoid blocking the federal government’s social programs.
The extension of the deadline was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Thursday (14). The Ministry of Citizenship stated that anyone summoned to investigate and review data must attend a CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) or a service center in the municipality’s Single Registry.
Because of the pandemic, the ministry escalated the cadastral review process. This year, families who last updated the data in 2016 or 2017 are being convened.
The waiting list to receive Auxílio Brasil has skyrocketed in recent months, and the number of families seeking to register to obtain the benefit — the so-called “queue in the queue” — has also been growing.
According to the CNM (National Confederation of Municipalities), 2.788 million families are currently awaiting an income transfer. The CadÚnico queue increased by 113%.
