Panel SA: Government of SP studies to review contracts in milk supply program

by

After meeting with suppliers of the Vivaleite program to talk about the increase in the price of the product, the State Secretariat for Social Development of São Paulo says that it received a series of requests for rebalancing the supply contracts.

They complain about rising production and transport costs and environmental issues such as drought. IPCA data for June point to an increase of 41.76% in long-life milk this year.

The secretariat says that it is evaluating measures to maintain the supply. The agency says it seeks to speed up deadlines.

The state milk project serves more than 300,000 beneficiaries across the state, according to the secretary.
