In the list of guidelines for the next government that Fiesp has prepared to send to the presidential candidates, the entity mentions democratic stability and respect for the rule of law as “indispensable conditions for Brazil to overcome its main challenges”. The document, which is also signed by Ciesp, was ready this week when Bolsonaro made new statements against the electoral system at the event with ambassadors.
The text says that democracy, the rule of law and social solidarity are the main victims of the economic and institutional crisis that Brazil is going through.
“The commitment to legal certainty is an essential premise for the future of any country in contemporary times”, states one of the excerpts from the document.
The entities also ask for the guarantee of an electoral system with “clear funding rules, which ensure equality between competitors”.
