The new health group will employ over 2,700 workers, while it will have more than 1,000 secondary care beds throughout Greece

An agreement in principle for the absorption of the EUROMEDICA Group, the company announced on Friday Imithea SA, owner of Errikos Dunan Hospital, with the aim of creating one of the largest health groups in Greece.

Upon completion of the absorption, “Imithea” will have a fully vertical group with a presence in primary and secondary care, and in Recovery and Rehabilitation Centers, with a wide geographical coverage of the Greek territory.

The Errikos Dunan hospital will be surrounded by 7 General and Obstetric Clinics in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Kozani, by an extensive network of 23 Diagnostic Centers throughout Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rethymnon, Larissa, Pieria, Alexandroupoli), as well as from a Rehabilitation Center in Thessaloniki.

The new health group will employ over 2,700 employees, while it will have more than 1000 secondary care beds all over Greece, with the ability to serve more than 120,000 cases a year. In primary care, the group’s network, when it matures, will be able to serve over 1,000,000 visits per year through a network of 3,500 cooperating doctors throughout Greece.

The absorption process will start soon and its completion is subject to the approval of the competent Competition Authorities and the receipt of the corporate approvals provided for in the law.
