Those who made purchases in the State of São Paulo in April 2021 and asked for CPF on the note have until this month to redeem credits generated in the Nota Fiscal Paulista program. In all, about R$ 8 million distributed among 9.3 million consumers expire in August.
Credits are only available for 12 months after release. The amounts related to purchases made in April 2021 were released in August 2021 and can be withdrawn until August 2022. The exact date varies according to the day of release, but according to the São Paulo State Finance and Planning Department , most consumers’ credit expires on August 16th.
Every taxpayer who has informed the CPF in purchases in the State of São Paulo participates in the Nota Fiscal Paulista program. After four months, a portion of the ICMS (Imposto sobre Circulação de Mercadorias e Serviços) paid by the establishment where the purchase was made is divided between buyers and released into the Nota Paulista account.
