The “fronts” of the citizens with the tax office – The obligations until the end of August

by

Taxpayers are obliged to meet the obligations of the tax office by the end of the month.

After the August holidays, citizens are invited to return to the harsh reality, as they are required to meet their tax obligations by the end of the month.

Specifically, until August 31, the “fronts” of the citizens are as follows:

  • the fourth installment of ENFIA
  • the second installment of income tax (for those who paid the first) or first and second together, from taxpayers who will submit their tax returns by August 30.
  • the second installment of Refundable Advances from around 700,000 businesses, or the first two installments from those businesses that received an extension until the end of August

These revenues help to continue supporting citizens with measures of €3 billion until mid-2023 and new, permanent interventions of more than €1.5 billion for next year which the economic staff is planning despite the impending peak of the energy crisis in the fall.

“We will know the amount of the new aid (through the supplementary budget) at the beginning of September,” the Minister of Finance has stated Christos Staikouras, pointing out that then there will be a much better picture of the course of revenues, while ELSTAT’s data on GDP in the second quarter of the year will also be made public. He said that the aid will be given in a targeted manner, and the targeting will mainly concern the middle class and lower income earners.
