With a budget of 40 million euros, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food is proceeding with the pre-publication of a call for the action “Actions of typical short-term education and training programs for farmers” (Π3-78.1-2), in the context of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (SS CAP) 2023-2027.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Rural Development and Food Kostas Tsiaras and the General Secretary of Union Resources and Infrastructure Argyro Zerva, underlining the importance of the continuous training of farmers for the modernization of Greek agriculture.

The new action concerns short-term training programs that cover thematic units related to the special objectives of the CAP SS and the needs of modern production. Participation is free for the beneficiaries, who will be trained by certified professional training providers.

Beneficiaries of the action will be bodies of national scope, while the beneficiaries are adult farmers (farmers, breeders, beekeepers, etc.). In addition, specific conditions or priorities for participation will be determined per program.

The action will be implemented throughout the country and is co-financed by the European Union (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development – EAFRD) and the Public Investment Program (PIP).
