IBGE opens 6,765 more vacancies to fill dropouts in the 2022 Census

After the withdrawal of researchers from the 2022 Demographic Census, the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) opened a competition for 6,765 temporary vacancies, the majority for the position of census taker. Registration started on Thursday (25) and goes until Monday (29), and cannot be held on Saturday or Sunday.

Interested in one of the 6,514 vacancies for census takers must have completed elementary school. There are also 251 vacancies for the positions of municipal census agent and supervisory census agent, which require a high school diploma.

The selection process does not involve proof, but only the analysis of the candidate’s titles, based on their application and documentation of academic history.

The census taker is paid for production and has a recommended working day of at least 25 hours per week, in addition to mandatory participation in training. Their remuneration can be estimated on the IBGE website: https://censo2022.ibge.gov.br/trabalhe-no-censo/estimativa-de-remuneracao.html.

For the municipal census agent, the remuneration is R$ 2,100 per month; for the supervisory census agent, R$ 1,700. Your mandatory working day is 40 hours per week (8 hours a day).

Among the requirements for vacancies, the candidate must be up to date with electoral and military obligations, be at least 18 years old and not be a managing partner or administrator of private companies, including MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur).

The contract will be valid for 30 days and the contractor will be evaluated monthly. The contract forecast for a census taker is up to 3 months, and for a census agent it is up to 5 months.

Interested parties must go to the registration office and deliver the registration form that appears in this link, completed and signed.

When filling it out, the candidate must consider only the degree with the highest score, and the training is not cumulative.

The maximum academic degree score is 10 points. Candidates for census takers must have 1 or more points (complete elementary school) and for census agents, 5 or more points (complete high school).

Interested in one of the positions of census agent will apply in the same way, and the vacancies of municipal census agent will be offered to candidates with the best classification in the selection process.
