Energy saving measures in the State: At 10 tomorrow morning the announcements

Tomorrow Wednesday, at ten in the morning, they will be announced by the ministers of the interior M. Voridis and Energy K. Skreka energy saving measures, ahead of the winter season. The presentation will be coordinated by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Representative, Giannis Oikonomou.

It is noted that more than 10% energy savings from the municipalities of the whole country are already requested by the Ministries of Finance and Interior.

They recommend that local authorities limit Christmas lighting and public lighting where it is not needed. Also, the directive concerns energy savings from gyms, swimming pools and building infrastructure.

At the same time, in a meeting that KEDE will have tomorrow with the Ministries of Finance and the Interior, the percentage of additional subsidies to the municipalities will be announced, so that the schools can be kept warm in the winter, whether they are connected to the natural gas network or use heating oil.

At the same time, the government has made it clear that households and businesses will continue to rely on the framework set by the country’s finances, while Finance Minister Christos Staikouras said yesterday, Monday, that the cost of the support measures will reach 10 billion euros until the end of the year.
