CCR opens an asphalt plant in the municipality of Estrela (RS) in October, a project raised after the cancellation of an acquisition of petroleum asphalt cement from Russia, according to the company.
The partnership was interrupted with the start of the Ukrainian War in February.
With an investment of R$ 20 million, the new plant will produce the cement used in asphalts and recycle the material removed from the pavements, which should generate savings of 30%, according to CCR’s forecasts.
The first recycling process will be done with material from the duplication works of BR-386, the federal highway that connects Canoas (RS) to Iraí (SC) and has been controlled since 2019 by CCR.
