Ancat (National Association of Waste Pickers) estimates that it will press more than 130 tons of recyclable material taken from the City of Rock during the seven days of Rock in Rio concerts. So far, 50 tons are ready to return to the industry, according to the entity.
Eighty collectors from the cooperatives Recicla Mais, Cooper Ecológica and Coopama are working on the recycled material, according to Ancat. More than 80 tons should be pressed in the next few days.
Startup Reutiliza Já will organize the final report of the process, which should be presented at the end of the month.
