Who is José Dumont, actor arrested for storing images of sex with children

Arrested in the act this Thursday (15) by the Civil Police of Rio for the crime of storing sex images involving children, José Dumont, 72, from Paraíba, moved to São Paulo at a young age, where he worked as a postman and tried to be a sailor. until discovering his vocation for art.

He began his professional history in theater in the 1970s, and at the end of that decade he began a long and award-winning film career. One of his first works was in “Lúcio Flávio, o Passageiro da Agonia” (1977), by Hector Babenco, a classic of national cinema, in which he played the protagonist’s assassin, played by Reginaldo Faria.

Since then, he has been in the cast of about 40 films, including “Gaijin – Os Caminhos da Liberdade”, by Tizuka Yamazaki (1980), which won him the Kikito for Best Supporting Actor at the Gramado Festival” and “O Homem Que Virou Suco” (1981), by João Batista de Andrade.
