Aid Brazil begins to be paid this Monday (19); see calendar

The Ministry of Citizenship begins to release, this Monday (19), the payment of Auxílio Brasil of R$ 600 to the beneficiary families. The deposits go until the 30th. Unlike what happened in August, the federal government decided not to bring forward the payment schedule for the amounts, although it has carried out studies to do so.

This month, the benefit will be paid to 20.65 million families, 450 thousand more than in August, when 20.2 million were entitled to the income. Bolsonaro’s main bet in the elections, the benefit of R$ 600 is temporary and will only be paid until December. As of January 2023, the government plans to pay BRL 405.

Deposits occur according to the end of the NIS (Social Identification Number). First, they receive citizens with a final NIS 1 and so on, until reaching those with a card with a final zero.

Aid Brazil Calendar for September

The amount paid this month remains at BRL 600, although Bolsonaro has promised, at election time, to pay BRL 200 more. There is no budget release, although the legislation allows for extra benefits within the aid itself.

According to the Ministry of Citizenship, on average, families will receive R$ 607.52. In September there will be no payment of the gas voucher, which occurs every two months. In August, beneficiary families received BRL 710, adding up to BRL 600 in aid plus BRL 110 in gas vouchers.

Who is entitled to Aid Brazil?

Citizens who are part of families in extreme poverty, with an income of up to R$ 105 per person in the family (per capita), in a situation of poverty, with an income between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210 per person are entitled to Auxílio Brasil. person in the family (per capita), or in the emancipation rule, which is when the beneficiary gets a formal job, but is still entitled to the benefit if the income per person in the family is up to R$ 525.

To receive, however, you must be registered in CadÚnico (Cadastro Único). The citizen needs to pre-register through the website or app and then confirm the data at the Cras (Social Assistance Reference Center) of the prefectures. The confirmation period is up to 120 days.

According to Citizenship, in September, with the inclusion of 450,000 families, the CadÚnico queue for those who are entitled to Auxílio Brasil is zero.

How is the Aid Brazil paid?

New beneficiaries receive a card at home, through the Post Office, to withdraw the amounts. In addition to the benefit, the new card also has a debit function. Distribution started in late June, but not everyone will receive it.

Those who were already part of the Bolsa Família Program can use the same card to withdraw the amounts. Withdrawal of money continues to be made at Caixa Econômica Federal branches, lottery houses and Caixa Aqui banking correspondents.

According to Caixa, it is also possible to receive payments through Caixa Tem, with the opening of digital social savings. The account is accessed by application. In it, it is possible to make purchases, pay bills, water, electricity and telephone bills, and make transfers, withdrawals without card at ATMs and lottery.

The beneficiary of Auxílio Brasil can also use the social card to withdraw funds from the account at Caixa branches and ATMs.

The payment schedule is released at the beginning of the year. If there are no changes, the October, November and December deposit dates are already set.
