Electricity: Suppliers’ tariffs – Lower than September

Prices nevertheless remain at high levels and consumer interest is focused on government announcements on the level of subsidies next month.

Significantly lower in relation to the current month of September are the electricity bills for October announced last night by the suppliers, as part of the statutory obligation to announce the next month’s invoices by the 20th of the previous one. Indicatively, the PPC tariff for October is 25% lower than the current one.

Prices nevertheless remain high and consumer interest is focused on government announcements on the level of subsidies next month, which will determine the actual burden on consumers.

The announcements will be made on Wednesday morning by Environment and Energy Minister Kostas Skrekas and are expected to include a tiered subsidy depending on consumption, higher for low consumption.

Indicative invoices announced by suppliers:

PPC 59.5 cents per kilowatt hour for the first 500 kilowatt hours, 60.7 cents for the next and 55.4 cents for the night tariff.

Heron Protect 62 minutes per kilowatt hour

Elpedison 59.05-63.06 cents per kilowatt hour with consistency discount.

Volterra 68.5 cents per kilowatt hour

Elin 59.9 cents per kilowatt hour.

Announcements from all suppliers are awaited.
