DEPA Emporias: Horizontal subsidy of €90/MWh to 700,000 residential natural gas consumers

“DEPA Emporias is moving forward with a brave horizontal subsidy of 90 Euros per MWh for the month of October, continuing the efforts it makes in collaboration with the Government for the maximum support of the 700,000 domestic consumers of natural gas in the face of the international energy price rally”.

This is pointed out by DEPA Emporias following the announcements of the Ministry of Environment and Energy on energy subsidies in October.

The subsidy from DEPA Emporias applies to all consumption and will cover 50% of the increase in the price of natural gas for all domestic consumers, regardless of income, size of residence or provider.

“Throughout this period of the unprecedented increase in international energy prices, DEPA Emporias has proceeded with significant discounts, absorbing a large part of the price increases, for all natural gas consumers in the country and not only for its direct customers, in cooperation with the other providers. In the previous critical period, the discounts it has offered to households, businesses and hospitals have exceeded 140 million Euros. The Company continues to take such initiatives in this direction, exhausting every possibility of supporting consumers, but also the national economy”, it is emphasized

The Managing Director of DEPA Emporia, Konstantinos Xifaras, said in this regard:

In close cooperation with the government, our company has proceeded with bold and horizontal discounts to all Greek households that use natural gas, and not just to our direct customers. In this direction, we take every initiative and continue to support consumers and the national economy.”
