Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announces this Thursday (22) the complete formation of its new global advisory board with former Minister of Finance, Henrique Meirelles, among the members. Meirelles’ entry into the exchange was announced earlier this month.
Founded in 2017 by Chinese Changpeng Zhao and Yi He, Binance manages assets of $7.5 billion and has services in 40 languages.
The board is chaired by former Senator and former US Ambassador to China, Max Baucus, and brings together nine economists, in addition to Meirelles: Ibunkun Awosika (former chairman of the First Bank of Nigeria), HyungRin Bang (former director of Hyundai and Samsung), Bruno Bezard (former economic adviser to France), Leslie Maasdorp (former international adviser to Goldman Sachs), Adalberto Palma (former managing director of Citibank in Mexico), David Plouffe (former consultant Obama’s management at the White House), Christin Schäfer (former global head of solutions at Deutsche Bank), Lord Vaizey (member of the House of Lords and former UK minister) and David Wright (former director of the European Commission ).
