Also referring to the pending pensions, Kostis Hatzidakis said that “we are in the last meters of the journey”.
The immediate implementation, from this month, no later than November, of a more general effort to clear the unemployment registers, announced to SKAI 100.3, the Minister of Labor Kostis Hatzidakis.
The minister specifically referred to the initiative, which will come into force immediately, to delete from the registers of the unemployed those who have refused work more than three times.
He explained that this is an initiative that applies to almost all European countries. “It was enacted in our country in 1955, but it was never implemented, due to the political costs,” explained the minister.
“There is indeed a political costbut only in the event that you are not dealing with things that have matured,” said Mr. Hatzidakis.
The Minister of Labor also stated that based on the official data so far, we have 12,949 registered unemployed people, with an annual income of 30,000 euros according to their statement. Of these, 1,332 unemployed have been registered for more than 10 years.
Also referring to the pending pensions, Kostis Hatzidakis stated that “we are in the last meters of the journey”. He explained that in August there were about 30,000 – 35,000 pending pensions, adding that we are currently focused on the pending pensions of 2021, which are also more complicated. For the 2022 pensions, he said more than 80% have been issued.
