Four hundred and forty thousand companies have been registered so far in MyDATA, the electronic platform with which the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) introduces e-books in the daily lives of businesses. This was stated by the Commander of the Authority, George Pitsilis, speaking at the Thessaloniki Summit 2021.

Mr. Pitsilis pointed out, among other things, that “from this week we have almost 15,000 business registrations every day while 52,000 companies registered in the application for smaller businesses, 170 million documents have been received so far and in the last days 3 million documents are sent daily. while their value has exceeded 95 billion euros “. “The bet for us by the end of the year is that all businesses have entered,” he added.

He also explained that “MyDATA and the interconnection of cash registers with the databases of AADE is the most important and most influential digital reform that is currently underway and concerns the relationship between companies and the public.” He stressed that it is beneficial for companies because it digitizes and simplifies their daily lives, while he stressed that “the benefit for the public is that it has a real-time image of the market, the concept of fake invoices is a thing of the past and we can through all documents registered in MyDATA to know what the real picture is, what to expect from companies, what are reasonable costs, so that much more targeted checks are made “. From this situation, he commented that reduction of bureaucracy and tax evasion is expected, while he announced that the next step for companies is the final exemption from the consolidated statements of suppliers, the pre-filling of declarations through the data of e-books and the facilitation of returns.

Referring to the myPROPERTY platform for real estate tax returns, he stated that “until its obligation, the participation of notaries was 35% and since it became mandatory, the participation rate has reached 92%”.

Mr. Pitsilis announced, moreover, that “in a few days a public consultation on tax awareness will begin” in order to receive messages from the market about the problems he has identified. The purpose of the Authority, he said, is to have the changes it needs to make by the end of January to improve the regulatory framework for tax awareness.

Regarding the digital tax office, he noted that “already for 250 procedures, the citizen does not need to go to the tax office but can send his request and his documents through his screen, from his home or office”. Now it is possible to make an appointment through myAADE on a pilot basis for 20 ISS in the country. “The vision is to reach the point in the next few years where no one will have to go to the tax office for any reason,” he added.

Regarding the data exchange program with other tax authorities, he stated, finally, that “this data has started and is being processed and utilized” and noted that “both last year and this year, taxpayers who had incomes abroad that did not have them have been identified. declare, and were notified to come to declare them “.
