In the week before the election, the debate on social networks placed the economic agenda on the list of topics most discussed by Internet users, according to a survey by the data and media agency .Map.

The survey shows the discussion of the minimum wage above the conversations about the arrest of Roberto Jefferson.

The theme gained prominence after the news, revealed by Sheetof Paulo Guedes’ Ministry of Economy’s plans to stop correcting the minimum wage and pension for past inflation.

Despite gaining dimension, the subject is still overtaken by topics outside the economic sphere, such as the general theme of the 2022 elections, which occupies the leadership of the debate, followed by the case of Jovem Pan and Bolsonaro’s participation in a podcast.

According to .Map, the volume of demonstrations on social networks tripled in the last week ended this Thursday (27) compared to the previous seven days.

“In the month, politics dominates with 76% of publications, below 2018, when it totaled 88% of discussions on the networks. But there is a difference in profile: politics extrapolated its borders and advanced to other themes of the social and economic agenda”, he says. .Map report, which analyzes a daily sample extracted from a universe of 1.4 million posts in open publications on Twitter and Facebook.
