Deadline to transfer credit from Nota Paulista to IPVA ends this Monday (31)

by

This Monday (31) the deadline for drivers registered in the Nota Fiscal Paulista program to send credits for the 2023 IPVA (Property Tax on Motor Vehicles) ends.

The transfer to pay the tax or pay part of it is made over the internet, on the Nota Paulista website, only in this month of October. Click here to make the transfer.

The consumer will be able to choose the amount he wants to send for the rebate. According to the Secretary of State for Finance, if you transfer more than is necessary for the settlement, the money will be refunded to the current account of the Nota Fiscal Paulista.

In October 2021, 89,174 consumers requested the reduction of this year’s IPVA, totaling about BRL 5.4 million. In 2020 there were 20,846 fans.

In order to use the IPVA credits, the vehicle must be in the name of the user registered in the Nota Fiscal Paulista. It is also necessary to inform the Renavam number.

HOW TO USE CREDITS IN IPVA 2023

  • Go to the Nota Fiscal Paulista website, enter your CPF and registered password
  • Click on “I’m not a robot” and click on “Access”
  • A screen will appear with information about the option to use credits for IPVA abatement. Go to “Continue”
  • In the red bar, access the “Current Account” menu and then click on “Use Credits”
  • Select the option “Discharge or abatement in the IPVA value”
  • Enter the Renavam number and click on the word “verify”
  • If the numbering is correct, the system will enable the “Confirm” button and the field for the vehicle owner to inform the value he will use (on the side, how much credit you currently have)
  • After clicking on “Confirm”, the system will show a form with the name of the owner and all the details of the car (plate, Renavan, make/model, year of manufacture, fuel), in addition to the amount of credit used
  • Click “Confirm” or “Correct Data”

Credits are released every month

The credits from the Nota Fiscal Paulista are released monthly and remain available to consumers for one year, counting from the release. Unredeemed amounts return to the State Treasury.

Those who prefer can transfer the funds to a checking or savings account. The transfer has no cost and the minimum amount is R$ 0.99. It is necessary to access the official website or app of the program, informing the CPF/CNPJ and the registered password. The amounts will be credited to the indicated account within 20 days.

From January to September, the federal government released approximately R$332 million in credits to participants. Of the total credited this month, R$ 16.7 million will go to individuals who informed their CPF on the invoices for their purchases. Another R$ 18 million will be released to charities throughout the state.
