The minister promised that the prices that citizens will see tomorrow Wednesday in the household basket “will be lower from any inflationary picture we have seen in our country”.
At the same time, he clarified that there may be some in the household basket and private label products, apart from surnames. He added that such a thing cannot be banned as large supermarkets have private labels.
Responding to a related question, that there is not a single product aimed at diabetics, who are over one million in our country, the minister underlined that the government will immediately examine the matter.
Also, Mr. Papathanasis made it clear that the controls will not stop and the other productspointing out that supermarket chains will not be able to have a higher profit margin.
He assured that there is no shortage of products in the market and our country is fully covered.
