The CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil), which supported the continuity of the mandate of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), issued a note this Tuesday (1st) on the result of the presidential election, won by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). ).

The entity says that it has always believed that freedom and democracy are the essential factors for the development of rural production, and that it welcomes the results of the elections naturally.

Without mentioning Lula’s name, the CNA says it is ready for dialogue and cooperation with the elected government. In August, at an event that brought together the 27 federations and unions of the sector, in Brasília, João Martins da Silva Junior, president of the entity, said that the sector is good at producing, has technology and equipment, but that is not necessary.

He also stated, on the occasion, that “we are aware of our role, but we also have to be aware of what we can do for this country, in addition to producing”.

The president of the entity stated at that meeting that “you have signaled very clearly that there is no more room in this country for a corrupt and incompetent team. -President Lula, now re-elected.

In Tuesday’s letter, the CNA states that “the guidelines of Brazilian agriculture are known to all. During the campaign we deliver to all candidates a document with our legitimate aspirations.”

“So that rural production can continue to be the security of food supply for the domestic market and the main source of our exports, we need the country’s government, above all, to provide legal certainty for the producer, defending him from invasions of land, confiscatory or destabilizing taxation or the excesses of state regulation”.

The CNA also highlights the need for the government to expand the destinations of Brazilian exports and to protect the country from barriers to trade that are open or disguised as concerns about health and the environment.

“Finally, we hope that the government adopts a balanced fiscal management so that our economy can grow with stability. In the pursuit of economic growth and social justice, we are one people and politics cannot separate us”, the note ends.
