The Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, is calling the food manufacturers to a meeting for tomorrow, as he revealed while speaking to SKAI, so that they too can hold down prices, after the premiere of the “Household Basket” today.
As Mr. Georgiadis mentioned, “the products in the household basket, today, were cheaper compared to October 3, when the meeting was held at the Ministry of Development with the representatives of the supermarkets.
He pointed out that from tomorrow, following the Ministry’s request, the previous price of the products in the basket will also be displayed in order to make the comparison immediate.
At the same time, he pointed out that the products in the basket will change every week in order to have sufficient quantities.
He pointed out that there is no other European country that has moved faster than Greece in terms of taking measures for products on the shelves.
