States with coup blockades fall; monitor the state of the roads

The number of states with road blocks in Brazil dropped to six. In the first PRF (Federal Highway Police) bulletin this Thursday (3), there were 11 states with coup mobilizations that contest the result of this year’s presidential election, which elected Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on Sunday (30) .

According to the social networks of the PRFs in each state, however, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul and Acre no longer have blocks.

The bulletin released on Wednesday night (2) indicated 89 bans on bolsonaristas in 12 states. According to the PRF, 876 blocks have already been released since the beginning of the week.

On Wednesday night, President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) published a video on his social networks in which he asks his supporters to clear the highways that are obstructed.

“I want to appeal to you: clear the highways, this is not, in my opinion, part of these legitimate demonstrations. We are not going to lose our legitimacy here,” he says. “Protest otherwise, in other places, that this is very welcome, it’s part of our democracy.”
