The operation of banks will be changed throughout Brazil on match days for the Brazilian team during the 2022 World Cup, according to Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks) this Thursday (17). Agencies will work during special hours.

The service will depend on the location where the agency is located and the time at which the Brazil game is scheduled. On days when there is a departure at 12:00, depending on the municipality, the timetable for the public will be divided: part in the morning and part in the afternoon. In games at 13:00 and 16:00, the operation will be partial, in the morning.

  • das 9am to 11am and das 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, in the states with the same time as Brasilia
  • das 8am to 10am and das 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, in the states with a difference of one hour in relation to Brasilia time
  • das 7am to 9am and das 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, in the states with a difference of two hours in relation to Brasilia time
  • das 8am to 12pm, at branches on the island of Fernando de Noronha (PE)

For games at 1pm

  • das 8:30 am to 11:30 am, in the states with time equal to Brasilia time
  • das 7:30 am to 10:30 am, in the states with a difference of one hour in relation to Brasilia time
  • das 7 am to 9:30 am, in the states with a difference of two hours in relation to Brasilia time

for games at 4 pm

  • das 9am to 2pm🇧🇷 in the states with time equal to Brasilia time
  • das 8am to 1pm🇧🇷 in the states with a difference of one hour in relation to Brasilia time
  • das 7am to 12pm🇧🇷 in the states with a difference of two hours in relation to Brasilia time

According to Febraban, the decision considers the security of agencies and the transport of valuables. Remote channels, such as internet banking and telephone service, will continue to operate normally, as will ATMs.

The indication of the federation is that the consumer opts for electronic means of payment. Consumer bills, as well as other payment slips, should not have their due date postponed. With this, late payment can generate interest and monetary correction.
