One of the most bizarre “trilogies” of ads was released by South Korean colossus Samsung.
It promotes Samsung’s QLED TVs, while shown characterizes competition as a clown trying to fool you to get your money. The protagonist of the video refers to the clown of horror films “This”.
The logic of videos is the same every time. In each video, Clowns, who represents Samsung competitors on QLED TVs, opens a restaurant in a new city and advertises products at half price.
The 50% discount sounds very good to be true because … it is, as every product lacks basic ingredients so it is not the obsolete. So you don’t really get back the value of your money, the Sammobile site points out.
- The sushi rolls that the clown sells in Japan are just rice balls with a spoonful of wasabi on top.
- The clowns in Mexico do not have … tortilla.
- In the US, hot dogs sold at half price are just empty buns without sausage.
What does this have to do with Samsung TVs? Basically, Samsung says that without fish, it’s not sushi. Without tortilla, it’s not a tacos. And without sausage, it’s not a hot dog. Similarly, without blue backlight, it’s not QLED TV. And without QD sheet, it’s not real qled.
Reactions to social networks are mixed, with others talking about apt advertising, and others creepy and strange, reminiscent of AI creation.
