Kikilias to SKAI: At the end of the year, travel revenues will have exceeded the target of last year’s budget by 3 billion euros

He also pointed out that in the context of supporting the owners of small hotels and accommodation in mountainous destinations, which are most affected by the energy crisis, 100 million euros will be allocated through the “Save-Operate” program, while the contribution of the “Tourism for All” as another draw will follow at the end of January.

Regarding development projects and investments in his field Tourism, V. Kikilias said that the utilization of resources from the available financial tools represents an excellent opportunity for the country, especially for destinations that are not particularly popular and lack infrastructure. “We are investing in upgrading solid waste, water resources, traffic, electrification, best allocation in cruises, upgrading ports, marinas, anchorages, ski resorts. It is 350 million only from the Ministry of Tourism for these projects with a call for interest starting next month,” said Mr. Kikilias.
