One of the bankers who spoke with Lula in recent weeks stated that the president-elect is only waiting for diplomacy by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) to make the announcement of his main ministries, especially Finance and Planning.
The graduation ceremony was brought forward by a week and is scheduled for December 12th.
The banker told the column, on condition of anonymity, that Lula showed his preference for Fernando Haddad in charge of the Treasury without, however, confirming it.
The president-elect said that he is still evaluating names for the Esplanada and that Haddad is still a key player who can be transferred to other portfolios.
The banker’s perception, however, was that Lula was just trying to mislead and that Haddad is taken for granted.
In Planning, Lula said he wanted Persio Arida, as Panel SA reported, but that he also has enormous sympathy for André Lara Resende.
The idea, still according to the banker, would be to allocate the folder to a liberal, a name that pleases the market.
Arida, however, resists. He has already stated that he does not want a position in the government, but, at the same time, he tells friends that he would consider running the farm.
