“Fine” premiere for Panathinaikos in the return of Roga!

Impressive premiere for Panathinaikos in the return of Pennys Roga! The “greens” welcomed their teammate to her return to the taraflex, putting on an excellent performance against Aris in the Mets. In the competitive part, Panathinaikos set its own pace from the start and imposed its own rules. Despite Aris’ attempt to cover differences, the hosts “opened up” the difference and found themselves in the middle of the set at +6 (16-10). The guests seemed to lose their concentration and the “clover” reached 1-0 with relative comfort (25-19).

Better start from Aris in the second set and short lead (3-4) after “green” errors. However, Panathinaikos, with Konstantinou and Samandan on a very good day, stepped on the gas and escaped to +6 (13-7). The development of the second set was even easier for the “greens” who won it 25-17.

Aris, more competitive and more organized, made it difficult for Panathinaikos in the third set with consecutive, but not big leads in the score. After 13-14, however, Ciappini’s team reacted, “tightened” the block, improved reception and raised his service percentages, as a result of which he ran a separate 7-3 and led with a score of 20-17. The psychology of the guests could no longer “support” the will to overthrow and Panathinaikos reached victory with 3-0 sets (25-19).
