Drivers will pay more for tolls on São Paulo roads starting at 0:00 am next Friday (16). The toll readjustment comes close to 12%, as in the cases of busy roads, such as Anchieta, Imigrantes, Anhanguera, Bandeirantes and Rodoanel.
The value of the “beach toll”, on the Anchieta-Imigrantes system for those leaving the capital of São Paulo for the south coast, will rise to R$ 33.80. Today, the toll costs R$30.20.
The last readjustment for the 18 concessionaires had been made in July 2021. In total, 2.3 million vehicles circulate daily on the highways that will have their tariffs readjusted, according to Artesp (Transport Agency of the State of São Paulo).
The new tariffs were published in the Official Gazette this Wednesday (14), check the new values.
On the Anhanguera and Bandeirantes highways, managed by CCR’s Autoban concessionaire, tolls charged range from R$7.80 to R$11.80 for passenger cars, with variations in the amount at each collection point. The readjustment approved for these routes is 11.73%.
In the case of the Rodoanel, on the West section, managed by CCR, the toll will be R$ 2.80 as of Friday, while on the South and East sections, of SPMar, controlled by the Bertin Group, the values will be BRL 4.30 and BRL 3.30, respectively.
According to Artesp, the concession contracts for these highways are indexed by the IPCA (Extended Consumer Price Index), measured by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). The increase takes into account the accumulated inflation between June 2021 and May 2022.
The Tebe, Intervias, Triângulo do Sol, Renovias and Colinas concessionaires, which administer roads in the interior of São Paulo, will readjust their tolls by 10.72%, with contracts indexed by the IGP-M (General Market Price Index), calculated by FGV (Fundação Getulio Vargas).
The correction announced this Wednesday was expected to come into force in July this year, but was postponed by the government of São Paulo, during the election period. According to the state informed at the time, the measure was taken in a context of wildly high prices, especially fuel prices.
