The Board of Trustees of the FGTS (Fund for Guarantee of Length of Service) approved, this Friday (16), the extension of the reductions in interest rates for the Pro-Cotista credit line and for track 3 of the Casa Verde e Amarela program (for families with income between BRL 4,400 and BRL 8,000) until June 30, 2023.

The measure reduced the rate by one percentage point for properties worth up to R$350,000 and by half a percentage point for properties worth more than R$350,000.

  • Pro-Quotaholder: interest of 7.66% per year for properties up to R$350,000 and 8.16% per year for properties over R$350,000
  • Group 3 of Casa Verde e Amarela: interest of 7.66% per year

The council also approved a 5% increase in the maximum appraised value of properties that may qualify for Casa Verde e Amarela. The decision excludes São Paulo, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro, which will maintain the current values.

Abelardo Diz, from the National Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism, was the only councilor to vote against the changes, claiming that they do not achieve the proposed objectives.

Casa Verde e Amarela, with FGTS resources, offers discounts and rates according to the family’s income and the location of the property.
