Twitter plans to restrict poll participation to subscribers only, says Elon Musk

by

Elon Musk said that only Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to vote in polls about company policies, in a tweet made on Monday (19). On the same day, users of the social network had voted for the billionaire to step down as chief executive of the platform.

The billionaire agreed with the suggestion of a user of the subscription service, who said that only subscribers should vote in the company’s policy polls. “Good point. Twitter will make that change,” he said. However, he did not say when the company will carry out the action.

On Sunday (20), Musk wrote that he would accept the results of the poll he created, but did not give details on when he would resign as head of the company. He has yet to name a successor to the post.

Twitter reactivated Twitter Blue subscriptions earlier this month, with individual accounts receiving a blue badge, while gold and gray badges denote business and government accounts.

The monthly subscription price for the service is US$8 (R$41.9) on the web and US$11 (R$57.6) on Apple devices, respectively.
