The total number of registered unemployed rose to 1,091,618 people in November 2021 against 987,763 people in October 2021 (percentage change + 10.51%) and against 1,153,434 people in November 2020 (percentage change -5.36%) , according to the registered unemployment statistics of OAED.
In particular, the total number of registered unemployed, with the criterion of job search (job seekers), in November 2021, amounted to 1,081,622 people. Of these, 584,634 (54.05%) are registered in the OAED register for a period equal to or more than 12 months and 496,988 (45.95%) are registered in the OAED register for a period of less than 12 months. Men amounted to 389,993 (percentage 36.06%) and women amounted to 691,629 (percentage 63.94%).
The total number of registered others (non-job seekers), in November 2021, amounted to 9,996 people. Men amounted to 3,600 (percentage 36.01%) and women amounted to 6,396 (percentage 63.99%).
The total number of subsidized unemployed, in November 2021 (concerns the number of beneficiaries paid within the respective month), amounted to 127,544 people, of which 91,401 (percentage 71.66%) are common and other categories of subsidized and 36,143 (percentage 28.34%) are seasonal tourism professions. Men amounted to 52,823 (percentage 41.42%) and women amounted to 74,721 (percentage 58.58%).
Of the total subsidized unemployed, 82,335 (64.55%) are common, 1,366 (1.07%) are builders, 36,143 (28.34%) are seasonal tourism professionals, 3,980 (3.12%) are seasonal others (rural), 3,529 (percentage 2.77%) are teachers and 191 (percentage 0.15%) are others.
