Opinion – Panel SA: Rede D’Or São invests BRL 200 million in robotics

Between the months of November and December of this year, the D’Or São Luiz chain completed an investment of R$ 200 million in 13 new robots to expand its robotic surgery park in the country.

According to the network, with the new acquisitions, the group now has 23 robotic platforms produced by three manufacturers and which are distributed in several surgical centers in the country.

Investment in robots began in 2015. According to Carlos Eduardo Domene, digestive tract surgeon and medical coordinator of the group’s Robotic Surgery Program, around 20% of the robotic park in Brazil belongs to Rede D’Or.

These robots perform procedures such as thoracic, cardiac, abdominal and orthopedic surgeries.
