by

Monitoring by ACSP (Associação Comercial de SP) recorded a 5.6% increase in consumer confidence in São Paulo in December, but the level is still in the neutral zone, between pessimism and optimism.

According to the entity, in the socioeconomic cut, the C class returned to reach the level considered optimistic in the capital for the first time since February 2020, pre-pandemic period.

According to ACSP, the scenario is a reflection of income transfer programs, which were boosted by Bolsonaro during the elections, and the end of restrictions on social mobility.

In the survey of the state of São Paulo, the growth of the index was 4% in relation to November.
