After saying he was tired of the political news, Gabriel Kanner, heir to the Riachuelo fashion network that has become one of the Bolsonarist voices of the social network in the business community, took to Twitter in recent days to talk about sex and pregnancy.
“Don’t want an unwanted pregnancy? Don’t have sex with someone you don’t want to be the parent of your children,” he wrote.
The message was a break from Kanner’s political comments, which had been signaling an indisposition to the topic in recent months. His forays into politics began in the 2018 election, when he tried to be a federal deputy and gained prominence by assuming leadership of Brasil200, a group of businessmen that was founded by his uncle Flavio Rocha to defend flags such as the return of the CPMF, but later lost relevance.
Despite recent signs of political disinterest, the direction of Kanner’s speech may try to regain some weight in the tax debate. Throughout the Bolsonaro government, he positioned himself as one of the main opponents of the tax reform project prepared by economist Bernard Appy, who is now assuming the position of special secretary for reform in Lula’s administration.
