2023 PIS/Pasep bonus will be paid from February 15

by

The payment of the PIS/Pasep salary bonus in 2023 will begin on February 15, with monthly installments until July 17, according to the federal government calendar approved by Codefat (Conselho do Fundo de Amparo do Trabalhador) in December.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, around 23.6 million workers should receive the salary bonus in 2023 and the total amount reserved is R$ 24.4 billion.

As of February 5th, workers will be able to check whether or not they are entitled to the allowance in the Digital Work Card or on the gov.br portal. The system will show the amount, date and bank of receipt for those who are entitled.

The allowance ranges from R$110 to R$1,320, considering the new minimum wage approved by Congress. To calculate the amount owed to each worker, the government multiplies 1/12 of the minimum wage valid on the payment date by the number of months worked in the corresponding year.

Thus, the beneficiary who worked throughout 2021 will receive an allowance of R$ 1,320. If you worked only one month, you will receive R$ 110.

Payment of the old allowance and who filed an appeal

The worker who did not withdraw the allowance released in 2022 within the deadline, which ended on December 29, will only be able to receive the money after the start of payments for the 2023 calendar. According to the government, the beneficiary will need to request a new reissue through administrative appeal in the Ministry of Labor and Social Security service channels. Even though it is an old allowance, the reference value will be the minimum wage of 2023.

The ministry informs that the salary bonus due after an administrative appeal that was accepted, after reprocessing or by means of a judicial decision will be released for payment to the worker on the 15th of the month following the analysis of the administrative appeal or the judicial sentence or on the first later business day.

The payment of the salary bonus only occurs, however, when the calendars are running, i.e. from February 15, 2023 to December 28, 2023.

The allowance payments for workers reported in Rais until June 21, 2022 and in eSocial, until December 5, 2022 will be made available in the 2023 payment calendar and, after these dates, in the calendar for the following year.
